Mindful Reads

Thank you, truly and deeply, for showing up, reading these emails, Here on the 8th day of January I have a feeling January will fly by just as fast as December did. I'm hoping to live life at a slower pace and be more focused on my priorities. My word of 2025 is committed. I am committed to being more present. For my family, for my readers, for myself.

A personal moment from me. This is what I put on my Facebook wall this morning "1984 in this day I was a 19 yr old girl with a baby girl. On this day I married a man 18 yrs older. Everyone tried to talk me out of it. It was short lived. 8 yrs but multiple separations thrown in there. I got three amazing sons from that marriage so I don't regret it. What I regret is not getting mental health help sooner because of the shame, stigma and judgement. If you are struggling, talk to someone. It matters. You matter. Change is hard. But it is worth it. You are worth it.

New Year: New Goals and Resolutions?

Tips for Achieving a Healthy Lifestyle

The start of a new year brings a fresh opportunity to set goals, embrace change, and cultivate growth. Whether it's improving mental well-being, advancing a career, strengthening relationships, or prioritizing self-care, setting clear resolutions helps create a roadmap for success. However, achieving these goals requires more than just good intentionsβ€”it takes commitment, consistency, and accountability. By tracking progress, seeking support from a community, and making adjustments along the way, individuals can turn aspirations into lasting habits. The key is to set realistic, meaningful goals and to stay motivated even when challenges arise. With the right mindset and accountability systems in place, the new year can be a powerful time of transformation and achievement.

If you’ve set goals, would you please share at least one that’s got you excited right now?

Before I sign off for the year, I want to take a moment to thank you for being part of this incredible journey of Seeking Serenity and Harmony.
